DDA may start allotment process of 'DDA Housing Scheme 2008' Flats by December 2009
If the recent media buzz is to be believed, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) may begin the process of allotting flats to its allottees of the DDA housing scheme 2008 some time by early December 2009.
The draw of lots to 5,238 flats was held in December 2008. The entire process, including the sanctity and correctness of the draw itself, however was reported to be blamed to be fixed and faulty. The Union Urban Development Ministry froze the allotments after allegations of irregularities in the reserved category cropped up. It was highlighted earlier that a group of builders had forged documents to get flats under the reserved category.
According to media reports, certain sources in the Union Urban Development Ministry (UDM) have quoted that the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), where the software report of the draw has been sent for investigation, is expected to submit its report by October end. It has been reportedly said that the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will start the allotment process once C-DOT submits its report and a green signal from the Union Urban Development Ministry is obtained.

The honourable Delhi High Court on 06/11/2009 in fact gave green signal to the entire process of draw of the flats, and made way for the DDA authorities to proceed with the allotment of the flats of DDA Housing Scheme 2008.
ReplyDeleteAll those who had been lucky in the draw, and who were waiting eagerly for things to get clear, will breathe a sigh of relief.
Team B-n-M is of the view that the government and the concerned authorities by themselves should conduct themselves in such a transparent way that allegations do not arise at the very first place whenever such schemes are launched. This will save a lot of time, interest and efforts of the people who dream of having a good DDA flat.
