Astoundingly Designed & Nicely Crafted Porch at one of the Big Ticket Hotels in India

Time and again, whenever we come across this image of this well conceived and equally well crafted Porch of one of the big ticket hotels in India, we are simply awed and bowled over by the level of detailing and exquisite craftsmanship involved in its various stages of evolution, i.e.,

• Conceptualization - At the planning stage
  
• Level of detailing - On the drawing table
• Selection of material - Color, Shade, Type, Characteristics, etc. of all the material
  
• Sourcing of all the building material
• Craftsmanship - In each and every step of the execution of the project
• Finishing - Of giving the final touches to the creation
• Lighting - Choice of appropriate electrical fixtures and designed lighting arrangements
• Maintenance - The general upkeeping of the area, in general, once the place comes to daily use

In short, an architecturally marvel is created in piecemeal or in whole only once all the aforementioned trades that are involved--  right from conceptualization, to finishing, and upkeeping--  all go hand-in-hand and in a well coordinated way.

Further, all the agencies and parties involved-- starting from the Client (Owners), the Architects, the Project management consultants, the Contractor(s), the Engineers, the Supervisors, the Skilled workers, the unskilled workers, the material suppliers, the equipment operators--  everyone play their respective important role in the entire chain of execution. When every spoke of a wheel in the engineering field perform well, an engineering and architectural marvel is bound to be created.

Kudos to the entire team who created this beautiful and magnificent architectural feature.

The crafted elephant faced supporting columns on the edifice of the porch add unmatched elegance to the elevation of the structure. The grandeur elevates with subtle color stone base material that have been chiseled and crafted with very fine and intricate flutes and allied shapes, based on the design theme adopted for the porch. Further, the glass slab ceiling resting on the wood clad supporting frame-structure of the porch further enhances the richness, style and grace of the porch. All in all, a double thumbs up from our side :-)
